Roof Trusses

Off-site manufactured roof trusses are the most widely used form of roof framing in the UK as they provide a cost-effective and flexible solution.

Trusses are not only now “the norm” for simple roof structures but also increasingly seen as the ideal method of framing to turn a complex architectural vision into a working roof structure.

Trussed rafter roofs, also known as roof trusses, provide a robust and reliable structural framework for supporting the roof fabric, ceilings, or floors of buildings in both domestic and commercial structures.

These versatile components can be used on a wide range of building types, including timber frame, masonry, and steel frame.

One of the key advantages of roof trusses is their suitability for a wide range of roof structures and building types. The speed of construction allows for just-in-time delivery to the site, eliminating the need for on-site storage space.

Additionally, the use of prefabricated components significantly reduces labour costs.  In terms of thermal efficiency, trussed rafter roofs outperform alternative materials such as aluminium, steel, or concrete.

Made of timber, the only truly renewable building resource, they also boast a low-tech manufacturing process that reduces emissions and pollution. The minimal environmental impact from installation makes them an eco-friendly choice.

Trussed rafter roofs are individually designed components made strength-graded timber joined together with durable steel nail plates. These highly engineered timber products are manufactured in factory-controlled conditions to high production standards.

Roof trusses are ideal for framing both simple and complex roofscapes in unparalleled timescales. Roof features can be constructed at ground level and then craned into position or constructed at roof level if preferred.
